Meet Rachel, our citizen of the week!
Rachel lives at 20033 Memorial Drive in Metro Park, and is one of Millsberry's most promising songwriters. Since July 27, 2005, she has made her beautiful singing voice known to fellow citizens, and hopes to never give up her passion for performance.
She became interested in music at a young age, and often finds herself singing without even realizing it! Country music has always been her favorite, and over time she has started writing her own melodies and lyrics. On clear days she walks over to the lake for poetic inspiration, and then to the Recording Studio to record samples. This songstress hopes to release a full album of original songs someday — how's that for ambition?
When she's not writing lyrics, she enjoys writing short stories. And she is very particular about writing — all of her notes must be done with pen and paper. She has a computer, of course, but enjoys jotting her initial ideas down the old fashioned way. Just like the most skilled writers and composers, she has zeroed in on a creative process that works best for her.
Rachel stays in shape by shooting three-pointers in the gym at least once a week. If you see her in the gym, ask her how she gets in "the zone," because when she gets her hands on a basketball, her accuracy and precision are truly remarkable.
Thanks for being a good citizen, Rachel, and congratulations on being named citizen of the week!
