Mayor Wright addressed his audience in golden slippers. "I won these slippers at the Honey Nut Cheerios® Greenhouse Buzz the Bee picked them out for me in the Prize Hive," Wright chuckled.Editor-in-Chief
The Greenhouse is great to visit any time, but its offerings make up just a small portion of the exciting happenings going on in Millsberry this summer. And now, with a new month upon us, the mayor said he wanted to take a moment to talk about some of the newest additions to town.
Wright noted, "In the beginning of June, Trix, Toys, and Games. got a facelift. So, thanks to the fruity-delicious taste of Trix® cereal, the store has been renamed and restocked. And that means everyone can escape to fantastical places thanks to fresh new murals--or get their fun on with the help of other cool items, like banana boats!"
The crowd cheered and a few even raised their Berry Blue Trix Swords up in the air in agreement.
Wright cheered too, adding, "And then there's the Career Center, challenging Millsberrians to try their hand at something new and get rewarded for it! I know it's a popular spot based on the number of new surfers and racecar drivers I've been seeing around town! So, let's give a round of applause to Caroline Carrera for bringing this great venue to Millsberry."
The crowd cheered again and then let out a collective gasp. Chip the Wolf (the Cookie Crisp Cereal-loving wolf) was suddenly front and center in the crowd. A nervous silence hung in the air...until it was replaced by laughter when everyone realized it wasn't Chip, but a fellow citizen in a Chip costume!
The mayor then continued his speech, noting: "Well, we still don't know if Chip is gone for good, especially since the Cookie Crisp® Cereal Factory has settled here in town. We know Chip is tempted by this great-tasting breakfast cereal, so we thank you for your help in keeping the factory running at its full potential by playing the mini-games inside! Keep going back because you'll win some cool new items, too!"
"And, last but not least, I double-dare all of you to hop on one foot until I say 'stop.'"
The crowd obliged and Wright chuckled a bit before finally saying the magic word. "As you can see, everyone loves a double dare and, because of the new Double Dare Fruit Roll-Ups® fruit-flavored snacks, tons of you have been doing dares and getting rewarded for it! If you haven't already, get creative and think of a dare that could be printed on an actual Fruit Roll-Ups roll! Just don't submit "hop on one foot" because it's already been used! So thank you for a wonderful two months. This makes me one proud mayor!"
So there you have it: the ingredients for one delicious summer...so far. With surprises like the ones discussed above, there's no telling what's in store for August!
