Thursday, May 27, 2010 — Just when you thought Wearhouse boutique owner Loretta Rivers was going to put her sketches and sewing machine to rest...she's back at it again! And this time, she's got everything you need for one cool summer in the sun.

Plus, the new duds include Millsberry's most-wanted. That's right---new bathing suits! You asked for them and now you've got 'em!

We stopped by the Millsberry Pool to get the full scoop---and the scoop we found! It seemed as if we'd stepped into the pages of a summer swim catalog!

Looking around the pool's perimeter and taking in the sea of red, polka-dot bathing suits, one Golden Valley resident commented: "I should have known everyone would be wearing the same new suits!" Smiling, she added "Thankfully, Loretta also designed a plaid, retro suit to mix things up a bit!"

And for the guys? There were some new swimsuits in the mix for them as well--plus tank tops with pockets, fun plaid hats, sunglasses, and more!

Dojo owner, Siobhan Hidaka, was enjoying the scene. "I just love this weather!" he said. "It gives me an excuse to cruise around on my new beach-cruiser bike! You know, a thick-framed bike that comes in bright, hot colors? With streamers, a horn, and a big basket to fill with flying discs, snacks, and other must-haves for a perfect June picnic! I can throw my new straw beach bag in there too!"

Yep, the sights of summer are everywhere: awesome colors, fun clothing and patterns, and...beach chairs! Did we forget to mention those?! Plus, like Siobhan said, warm weather always offers a good excuse to go outside and get active. Like taking your new beach-cruiser bike for a spin around downtown Millsberry! Biking is also a great way to get some exercise and explore new places a little quicker than on foot. Also, bike riding is something you can do alone...while still feeling the warm summer sun!
