Meet Mary, our citizen of the week!

Mary lives at 24465 Summer Street in the lush, green farmland of Golden Valley. She's been a citizen of Millsberry since December 11, 2004, and everyone who knows her would agree that she's been a wonderful addition to the town!

Mary's friendliness has made her well liked by those she's met during her time in Millsberry. Whenever somebody new comes to town, Mary is always among the first to offer a warm welcome, making them feel right away like they've got a friend. If Mary spots someone who appears lost or lonely, she will come over and draw them into a conversation or ask if they'd like to join a game of kickball at Peabody Park. When one of her friends is feeling down, Mary has a knack for knowing just what to say to cheer them up again.

Popularity hasn't gone to Mary's head, though. Her easygoing personality keeps Mary down-to-earth and laidback. She's always eager to try new things and doesn't mind adjusting her plans so that more people can join in on an activity or trip. Because she's very patient, Mary is a great friend to have in a crisis. She's willing to work on a problem for as long as it takes in order to set things right. Mary's calm nature comes in handy when she's involved with projects such as tutoring younger children in her neighborhood, leading nature hikes through the forests around Golden Valley, and even training puppies!

Mary's favorite place to hang out with her friends during summer is the pool, but they can also be found year round at Peabody Park, playing basketball, riding their skateboards, or just sitting in the shade and talking. Occasionally, they'll spend some time indoors at the Downtown Entertainment Complex, checking out the latest movie releases.

When the weather takes a turn for the worse, Mary likes to curl up with a good book and travel to distant lands in her imagination. On bright and sunny days, however, she enjoys traveling to not-so-distant lands by hiking all around Millsberry! If you're ever out walking in the woods and see someone admiring the beauty of nature, there's a good chance that it's Mary. You'll recognize her by her stylish pink, yellow, and silver hiking boots!

Mary's great passion, though, is singing. She loves to challenge herself by performing many different types of music. Though she's sung everything from rock to classical, her favorite musical styles are country, pop, and jazz. Mary's love of music made her a natural for the Millsberry Recording Studio. Her great voice and wide-ranging tastes came together on a unique track that's already rocketed into the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Top 10 charts!
