Meet Samantha, our citizen of the week.
Samantha has lived in her beautiful home at 8832-A Panther Road in Westridge since May 8, 2006. Despite her short time in Millsberry, Samantha already loves her neighborhood, especially the sweeping views from atop King's Hill.
One of the first things Samantha did when she moved to Millsberry was head over to Peabody Park and join the pick-up basketball games that take place every day at the courts. Samantha is very athletic, and her skills make her a great point guard. She loves to direct plays, set her teammates up for shots, and hit three-pointers. Samantha's sportiness doesn't end with basketball, though. She also enjoys heading to the pool for a Bumper Boats match or a game of water polo.
When she's away from the pool and the playing field, Samantha indulges her love of art. She particularly enjoys sculpting and painting. Samantha sometimes spends hours in her room shaping clay or marble, or splashing canvases with brilliant shades of silver, magenta, and red. Samantha says that creating works of art helps her to relax after a tough day on the basketball court and that she loves being able to express herself artistically.
In addition to being athletic and artistic, Samantha is very friendly. Her fun-loving nature has attracted a large circle of friends, and together they often head to an amusement park, a mall, or even Sylvane Lake for a day of adventures and fun. When Samantha wants to relax, though, she enjoys visiting her best friend's house, where they unwind by listening to punk, modern rock, and pop CDs, and having long conversations.
Thanks for being a good citizen, Samantha, and congratulations on being named Millsberry's Citizen of the Week!
