Meet Jamal, our Citizen of the Week!

Jamal lives at 1317 Settler Way, in the beautiful community of Golden Valley, which lies a bit south from downtown. His house is easily recognizable as the blue one with the gold trim on the front door. Jamal is very friendly, so feel free to come visit and make a friend. He's very creative, and likes athletics; perhaps you two could invent a new game to play together?

Jamal is interested in a wide variety of activities, including martial arts, football, and hunting. He's currently dedicating a lot of time after school towards his martial arts training, as he prepares for his test to gain the next rank in his belt. During football season, Jamal stays late after school practicing with his teammates. Even though the season has just started, Jamal's team is already looking great! With him on the team this year, there may be a new championship trophy adorning the halls of Millsberry Academy by the end of the season.

When he's not participating in athletic activities, Jamal enjoys hunting. Because he spends most of his time in the city, Jamal's hunting is pretty much limited to the crawfish that can be found in the shallow waters of Peabody Pond. He makes a good profit selling them to Bobby, though, who always needs a steady supply for his bait shack.

In addition to his busy schedule, Jamal always makes sure he has time to spend with his friends. Last summer, they built a treehouse in his back yard, and painted it Jamal's favorite colors: silver, pink, and dark blue. When he's not hanging out in his treehouse, Jamal enjoys swimming at the pool, especially if it's hot out. During cooler days, though, he enjoys heading out to the park, usually with headphones on, blasting an assortment of rap, disco and jazz music.
