Meet Lalia, our citizen of the week!

Lalia lives at 9260 Triumph Boulevard in Metro Park, which she loves because it's within walking distance of Peabody Park and all the shops in Downtown Millsberry. Lalia has been a citizen since January 30, 2005, and she's fit right in from the start!

An excellent student at Millsberry Academy during the school year, Lalia uses her intelligence and leadership skills for a number of community projects in the summer. Whether she's organizing a charity drive, leading a group of volunteer camp counselors, or giving first aid and swimming lessons, Lalia is hardly the type to spend all summer sitting on the couch. When she does get a chance to relax, though, Lalia enjoys spending time on her computer, where she plays games, emails friends, and checks out her favorite websites.

Lalia's knowledge of computers, combined with her love of music, led her to take an interest in the Millsberry Recording Studio. At first, Lalia was just curious about how all the recording equipment worked. It wasn't long, though, before she began to create her own tracks, which greatly improved as she gained experience. Her diverse taste really shows in her music now, since she's learned how to blend her favorite styles—pop, soft rock, and classical—in her own unique way. Lalia's cool, original beats have already earned a spot on the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Top 10 Charts, and the future looks bright for this young musician!

When she's not in the studio, Lalia is often found participating in a wide range of athletic activities, from roller-skating along the sidewalks of Downtown Millsberry to playing freeze tag with her friends in Peabody Park. Lalia also loves animals and enjoys going on long hikes in the hills around Millsberry. While hiking, Lalia likes to keep an eye out for rare birds and other animals that are more common, like rabbits and squirrels.

When she's not hiking through the woods, Lalia can sometimes be found in her own backyard, playing with her pets or sitting in the shade and reading a book. During the summer, when they're not at her best friend's house, Lalia and her pals like to get a break from the warm weather by going to a mall and checking out the trendiest fashions. If you happen to spot them while shopping, Lalia will probably be the one trying on clothes in bright, vibrant shades like light blue, silver, and red.
